Despite its steep price tags, for coffee lovers, the price is still worth it because it can potentially help them save a lot if they make frequent purchases with the credit card. It offers rewards such as free food as well as drinks items at Starbucks to the customers that buy their coffee with it.

It also offers the customers instant gold status which pays in the form of stars, unlike many reward cards that pay in the form of points or miles. With 125 stars, you can get free food or drink items of your choice at Starbucks. For the first time you load a registered Starbucks card in the mobile app, you receive 250 stars for using the Starbucks Rewards Visa Card.

In addition, it offers 1 Star for every $4 that you spend outside of Starbucks stores and 1 Star for every $1 which you load digitally to your registered Starbucks Card using the Starbucks Rewards Visa Card in the Starbucks mobile app. You can also get two stars per $1 spent if you pay with the registered card.

Every year, it offers eight annual barista picks where you can get eight free drinks as well as food items.

If you redeem your Stars for the drink and food items that are worth $5 each, you would be receiving 4 cents out of each Star which is okay if you are redeeming rewards for Starbucks drink and food items.

Starbucks’s reward card has an APR that range from 17% to 24% which depends on the consumers’ creditworthiness.

It offers double points on all purchases made when dining out including when taking a cup of your favorite drink in the coffee shops.  Besides the double points on dining purchases, it also offers double points on reservations made on travel, and you also get one point per dollar spent elsewhere.

You can also redeem the points in your chase ultimate rewards program and get merchandise, gift cards, airline miles, hotel points, and travel reservations. The Chase Sapphire Preferred has an annual fee of $95 which is waived in the first year after you sign up. But, it incurs no foreign transaction fees. The APR rate of this card lies between 16.24% and 23.24% which depends on the creditworthiness of the cardholder.

  1. Citi ThankYou Premier

Citi ThankYou Premier is also ideal for coffee lovers. It offers double points every time you dine out and for all the entertainment that you receive and pay with the card. It gives you three times the points on all the expenses incurred during travel including the gas expenses. The points are redeemable for gift cards, merchandise and travel reservations.

You can also get airline miles or points with the Hilton HHonors program. The card also attracts $95 annual fee which is waived for the cardholder in the first year after getting the card. It does not have any foreign transactions fee. The APR for this card ranges from 14.24% to 23.24% which also depends on the creditworthiness of the cardholder.

  1. American Express Everyday Preferred Credit Card

With the American Express Everyday Preferred credit card, coffee lovers can benefit from it for making frequent purchases with it. It is one of the best credit cards for coffee lovers and rewards 50% bonus point to customers during each statement period when they make 30 or more charges.

In addition, it is ideal for coffee lovers who take at least a cup or a few cups of coffee every day. It gives you three times the points on all purchases that cost up to $6,000 at the US supermarkets. Or, 2 times the points on all purchases made at gas stations in the US and one point per dollar on all purchases made elsewhere in each calendar year.

It offers 0% introductory annual percentage rate (APR) on all balance transfers and purchases made during the first year. Then after the introductory offer expires, the APR range from 13.24% to 23.24% which depends on the creditworthiness of the cardholder. The card also attracts $95 annual fee. It has no transaction fee on foreign purchases.

  1. Chase Freedom

Chase Freedom is yet another best credit card for the coffee lovers. Unlike most cards that have annual fees, Chase Freedom comes with no annual fee. It offers a sign –up bonus of $150 cash back for spending $500 during your first three months after you sign up for the card. It offers 0% introductory annual percentage rate (APR) on new purchases and balance transfers during the first 15 months.

After the 15 months, the APR ranges from 14.24% to 23.24% which depend on your creditworthiness. Be careful though because the Chase Freedom card will burn a spot on your 5/24 with Chase. It also offers 1% cash back on all purchases made and has 5% cash back on combined purchases of up to $1,500 in the categories of the card’s quarterly bonus. The bonus categories for April, May and June 2018 are usually purchases of groceries made via PayPal and Chase Pay and Apple Pay. The Walmart and Target are not included in it as grocery store purchases. I’ve used it to earn serious cash back at Whole Foods previously.
